The season here in the PacificNorthwest has absolutely changed.
Fall is here....not in its "glory" yet, but rapidly shoving Summer down the tubes. Just checked the temp on the front deck and it's {{{brrr}}} 36 degrees. Actually gone down a bit since an hour ago. It'll climb again in a bit and it's supposed to be 70 today. Wierd weather this time of year.....yo-yo syndrome. Drives ya crazy when you have to go somewhere and can't decide to bundle up or wear light. (Like this is an earth-shattering decision, right?)
Puppies are growing like little weeds. Right now the look kinda like tummies with legs. Zoey is such a good and attentive mom, with absolultely NO agression towards visitors or the other dogs. She simply curls her little pretty lips at those like Rowdy (who soooo wants to get in and visit), and they politely exit the whelping box entry.
Here they are doing what they do best at one week and one day old. EATING.... Left to right is #1, #3, #2.
Something is definitely missing around here this morning....and the whole dynamic of mornings has changed. Macci is sorely missed, even tho I know he will be happy and enjoyed at his breeder's home in Concord, CA. Teresa Hall is a great gal and she will love and treasure him while he's there with her. He can be a pain, that's for sure.....name one little boy dog who cannot be a pain? <lol> But, when it's all said and done, we love him and only want what's best for him. He deserves his chance in the ring to finish his championship....he is a show dog when it's all said and done, and he just did not do well up here.
Chocolate TFT's are difficult enough to show and finish sometimes, but he's also small, and that doubles his difficulty. So Teresa is going to give it a try down there in her area and see how it goes.
He is such a nice little dog....everything there, just in a smaller package. Well within the breed standard, but he's got this little double whammy of chocolate on top of size.
We have our fingers crossed, but we also miss him like crazy.

So does his best girl in the world, Zara. She's kind of lost without her tugging buddy.
I suppose we'll all survive his absence, but I think it will bother her the most. They're close to the same size and spend endless hours terrorizing each other all in the name of friendship and love. Now she's the littlest of the bunch, so will no doubt be wandering rather lost for a while.
With that, I'm outa here for the morning. Errands to run, things to get done, and shows to get ready for this coming weekend. Rowdy and Jaz will be doing the Puget Sound Toy Dog shows on Saturday and Sunday in Enumclaw, WA. Maybe if we're really lucky, we will come home with a a new GRAND champion title tacked onto Jaz.
Have a great day! Come back and visit..... we love having ya!!
