It's been a long dry spell since the last post here. Between dog shows, trying to exercise some of my flabby left overs from obesity down to a manageable blob by regular visits to the gym (20 miles one way at $4 per gallon for gas ) , and having one thing or another go wrong with my van, it's been a busy.....interesting?..... month.
Puppies are growing and are amazing. They were 11 weeks old yesterday and I have to say I don't remember when I've enjoyed two kids more than these. Oh, and our Rowdy (AKC Major-pntd Dragon Lair's Rowdy Rider of Autumn - hey, don't blame me for that name.....I'm not responsible for it in any way <lol ). Anyway, Rowdy has taken it upon himself to be protector and guardian over these two puppies. When doing nails, (and they like to yell then....) he loudly tells me I'd better quit or he's going to eat my person. Who'd'a figured, eh? He loves to play with them, and keeps track of them when they're outside. So all is good in that department.
My 2005 Safari Van has close to 200grand on it and it's gettin' tired. So we went looking for something to drive around while the Van gets its well deserved rest from daily putting all over the place. Found a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. Great shape, good price, had our mechanic computer check it out prior to sale and he encouraged me to buy it. I did. Took it to the dog shows this past weekend and after checking the mileage, I'm kinda a happy camper. Safari gets an average of 18-Town and 20-hiway. The Caravan is giving me also around 18 in town with the AC running full blast, but on the highway we're a solid 25. Love that. At the astronimical price of fuel right now, any better mileage is gooooood. So......up till now, I'm pleased with the Dodge.
Granted, it does NOT have the conveniences of the Safari, nor does it have the storage I'm used to. But what the heck, I guess I'll have to get used to it if I want to save a buck or two. Spent all my lead money on this vehicle, so I'd BETTER like it. <lol>
(Don't know why this blog will not allow me to post pics any longer, but I guess you get what you pay for (or don't pay for in this instance). So no pics of the Caravan, no pics of the puppies....and you'll just have to check on FB if ya wanna see. Neener, neener. I did post a couple pics of me and two friends I ran into at the dog show this past weekend. Between us, we three have lost enough weight to build a Wrestler. Each of us is down a BUNCH of pounds and clothes sizes. So we had to get a couple pics of us together. May not have that opportunity again in the near future.
My weight is fluctuating right now. Up a pound or two, down a pound or two. Size 8 on the bottom, size 12-13 on the top. What can I say....boobs take up space. I'm just a pound shy of having lost 70# and after having tried on an outfit with a belt yesterday, I'm finding I need to lose at least another 10 pounds. Flab sucks, ya know? You can only exercise away so much of it, and the rest is just plain fat. <lol> Fat only goes away by restricting what goes into your mouth. Fact.
NEVER AGAIN will I let myself turn into an obese, fat, flabby, saggy old broad that looks like something you see on those stupid pics people send out of the fat people in WalMart. YIKES.
That's it for today.....I have to go clean puppy papers and get my day in gear.
Later......
