AND SO IT GOES........

Got up this morning at.....well, actually WOKE up at 4am, but didn't drag out till 5:30.  Stupid Beagle across the road started yowling at some coyotes at 4am and that got all our dogs up and at em.  <yawn>

Rowdy needed some "under the covers" one on one lovin', so we kinda took care of that before we crawled out of the warm and cozy bed.  VERY chilly this morning.  Whoa......no complaints about chilly.  Better than hot and muggy any time.  Actually looks like it may be a pretty nice day today.  We're showing tomorrow and cloudy and overcast is predicted.  This will be our last outside show for some time, so I guess that's better than raining or seering heat.

Got Jaz's second Select Dog photo day before yesterday and wanted to include it here. This photo was taken in Enumclaw, WA at the Olympic KC show on Sunday, 18Aug2012.

He's such a great little dog.  Funny, happy, busy and just totally in command of himself.  Content in his skin, as my Mom used to say about self confident people andher show dogs.  Yup, that's Jaz.  Me?  Well, he helps me to stand up straight, act correctly and not be a fool in the ring.  (Being a fool mostly comes natural to me.)

All my life I've fought weight.....chubby little kid, chubby teen who compensated with loud humour and anything else that I felt would detract from my weighing more than my girlfriends.  (Hey, even more than some of the guys I knew....yikes).  I've dieted, starved, exercised, and anything else for over half a century trying to get "normal". I've probably lost more weight in my life than a pro wrestler teams weighs between them.   I'm finally settled in weight-wise where I should be, and I still tend to over compensate.

Jaz helps me not to do that.

So here's his 2nd Select, which also by the way, is his second Major toward his Grand Championship, and his second Ch defeated.  Only got 6 points, but then he's only been out 2 weekends as a Special.  And he is SUCH fun to show.

And now......GRACIE....ah yes, Gracie.      -     Gracie is  UKC/AKC CH ML Lil Promises To Keep.  She flew in this past Tuesday (21Aug2012) from Michelle Liggett in Texas to live with us.  Gracie is 5 years old, a lovely little white/black/tan TFT gal, who I swear has more energy than the infamous Energizer Bunny on TV.  Yikes.  She's either MACH 12 or sleeping.  Haven't found an in-between yet.  She is settling in somewhat, but seems to have a major issue with Keith...hubby.  Petrified of him and will hide and run....but she is getting a bit better.  She'll actually come into the same room with him now. <lol>   Poor Keith.
We're going to Special her in a while towards her Grand, and also see if maybe we can't get her and Jaz together for some extra special babies.  They're second cousins and should produce outstanding offspring.  Both have all health testing done and all is good, both are gorgeous and.....well, we'll see I guess.

When she first got here, good old Jaz decided she must be just for "him".  Gracie had other ideas and the result is the photo here.  She's eyeing him, and in no certain terms letting him know he'd better find something else to occupy his busy little body or she was going to make some anatomy rearrangments to it.  <pretty funny>

Hubby and all the dogs just crawled out of bed, so have to run and see what's going on out in the front yard.  Between Jaz barking at the Beagle, the Beagle yowling at the Coyotes, and everyone wanting to chime in, I think I'll go shopping or something. <lolol>  Actually, I have to get it together and get out of here and off to the Post Office 25 miles from here to ship off some show leads to a gal in S. Carolina.  It's the only Post Office in the area around here that's open on Saturday.  [Living out in the country, Boonyville is a pain like that sometime] Actually, we live in Toledo, WA.....which is only a blink and yawn to drive through, so I guess I should be happy we at least HAVE a Post Office.  Even if they don't do business on Saturday.

Everyone have a safe Saturday, enjoy shows if you're going.  And HAPPY WEDDING Day to Kasey Johansen and her lovely groom.  May your life together be blessed with happiness and joy.
