Good, bad, happy, sad......fat - not so fat. Double edged all the way. Because of these stupid (and VERY painful) ulcers, AND the radically restricted diet, the weight is dropping off like sap from a tree. 39 pounds as of today. And no stomach pain. That's the good.
The double edged part is that I am having one helluva time finding things to wear that don't look like Omar the Tent Maker designed them. Argh. I bought a couple really cute blazers to wear in the show ring a couple weeks ago. Tried them on yesterday to put together two outfits to wear to the dog show next weekend. BOTH jackets hang like curtains. Scratch those.
ALSO, went to the factory outlet store and got three pair of jeans TEN DAYS AGO.......they are now in the "to go" pile. Had to go back yesterday and get two new pair....one size smaller, that look like they're not going to fit for very long, either.
Problem here is that this is getting a bit spendy. Factory outlet jeans are less than regular stores, but it can get costy when you have to replace the bloody things every couple weeks.....know what I mean?
The double edge part is that I'm pleased the pounds and size are coming off, but darn it......it's hard to feel good in clothes that are FOUR sizes to big. So I guess I'll just whine and complain till it's all over and done with and then go spend a CHUNK of money. Sounds fair to me.]
Off to the closet.
First off Congratulations! Goodwill my dear! You can get some great show clothes there as well as casual ones! And the pocket book doesn't bleed as bad! There are some awesome consignment stores in Oly as well!
ReplyDeleteWhere in olympia? I know where goodwill and value village are, but that's all.
