First day of Spring. Okie dokie....WHERE? Surely isn't here.....because it's cold, dreary, dripping and just like it was yesterday.....and the day before; etc, etc. Please Spring....come ahead. We will welcome you with open arms. Dogs run out and go potty and then dive back into the house. Which means they also sleep a lot during the day....which ALSO means they DON'T sleep a lot at night. Ergo: We don't either. Hmph.
Surgical pre-op exam today at the military hospital upcoming eye surgery. I guess the surgeon will discuss whether he's considering replacing my old worn out lenses with single vision or multi focus lenses. With either, I've been told I may not have to wear these bloody glasses all the time. Please God.
Got a new laptop built for me the other day. It has Windows 7 on it. The computer shop let me play with one that had Win7 for a few days to see if I was going to be able to deal with it. It's doable. I prefer XP, but let's face it.....ya gotta keep up or things pass ya by. My biggest bitch with 7 is the continual updating it seems to think it needs to do. I've curtailed that by setting it so it has to ASK me before it does anything. However, the setup guy at the computer shop LET it do it's initial updating and it also did a major one the next morning after I got it. One thing it did THAT I REALLY DON'T CARE FOR....is it updated Internet Explorer from 8 to 9. And it, arbitrarily eliminated HELP and GADGETS. This will get fixed by the end of the week. Taking it to the shop and telling them to UNDO some of this nonsense. OR they can "undo" the sale.
